It was 1915. Adam Perry was an eighteen-year-old working class man and worked in a wood yard in Aston cross. He was being pressured by his best friend Wilfred Hadcock to enlist in the war. The decision he made could change his life forever in an unbelievable way. Rosie Edwards was sixteen and was born in an area of Warwick known as Slum Ally. Her father was an unemployed drunk and her mother was a whore. She was offered the opportunity to improve her lot in live, but it would mean leaving her three sisters and her brother to fend for themselves. It was a heart-wrenching decision. Fate would bring Adam and Rosie together, but would they be strong enough to overcome heartache and a complicated misunderstanding.
