A Cup of Coffee and a Kiss

Dewey, who lost his mother at the occasion of his own birth, can feel his father's sadness, but all he can offer is his love and a poorly made cup of coffee. His father, loving, appreciative, well-meaning but prone to bad decisions, bad habits and worse luck, will once again let his son down and fall victim to his own weaknesses as he is plunged into an extended delusion that he can somehow escape his mistakes and find his way home.

A Cup of Coffee and a Kiss is a long glance into a small fragment of time in a man's life defined by his fears, regrets, and a longing to correct mistakes that, for reasons which will become clear, are beyond hope.
