Civil Wrath: The Trilogy

‘Civil Wrath’ begins with the story of Moses Washington a Black Cavalry Sergeant in the year 1866. This was the era in time when the West was filled with deadly enemies waiting like buzzards on the trails leading to the new west. The three book series illuminates the all-out hatred that followed the Civil War for decades. Book one encompasses the years from 1866 to 1868. It’s a story of Moses Washington and Benson Krowley. Two men on opposite sides of the law and of moralities that were destined to collide with wrath and vengeance
Moses has one tour to do before he retires with twenty years of military service under his belt but the payroll he’s assigned to guard is attacked and robbed by Benson Krowley, America’s most wanted Civil War criminal. Benson, his Kin, and the Krowley Klan, kill twelve Union men but accidently leave Moses alive with a crippled arm.
As Moses learns to deal with his arm he plans his vengeance but the War Crime Commission comes to Moses and offers him a bounty on Benson’s head but Benson must be brought to justice, alive, or no bounty. Moses’ only job was to find Benson and to tell the Cavalry where he was and the $3000.00 bounty was his. Moses accepts the position as a Federal bounty hunter and tracks Benson to a mining town in Nevada that’s owned and operated by Benson and his brother Willard.
Instead of Moses contacting the Cavalry he decides to kidnap Benson from under the Klan’s nose and bring him in to face the mighty hand of the U.S. Cavalry. Knowing the Klan will come after Benson, Moses decides to takes him across the Mojave Desert and into Fort Bell in California, risking his and Benson’s life with every step they take in the boiling sand but he never makes it to fort Bell and Benson never lives to face his due judgment.
“Civil Wrath” is historical fiction that will horrify you, but does not disappoint. In short, book one in the series is about two men on opposite sides of morality as they collide with raw honest language and deadly intentions.
“Civil Wrath 2… No witness No Crime.” The story continues in the year 1869 where Moses is again asked to help his country. This time he needs to identify two of the Krowley Kin and Klan that have been plundering raping and killing innocent settlers headed west. “No Witness No Crime” continues with a truthful look into the racism in America and the all-out hatred that followed the Civil War for decades after. The “No witness No Crime” Klan was back in business.
The final book “Civil Wrath 3… Back in Business” Destiny comes to Moses and the battle with the Krowley Klan becomes the deadliest for him, his friends, his wife and his children. It’s the must read completion book to the “Civil Wrath Trilogy.”
The author’s writing soundly reminds the reader how far we’ve come in the past two hundred years and why America’s great melting-pot continues to be a work in progress.
