Our first impulse when our bravery is tested by an overwhelmingly advantaged opponent is to turn and flee. But you can't just keep running, and running, and running. In the woods up and down the line of the Ottawa Valley dwell creatures so fierce in battle, so fearsome of fighting skills, and so addicted to the taste of human flesh, you might as well say your prayers if you ever meet one.
