It is summer in the Scottish Borders. Anne has a job supervising an archaeological excavation of a Roman fort. She is a professional. She does not mix work and love. Anne is not interested in a man unless he has been dead for a thousand years. The weather is hot, and so are the men working for Anne. This archaeological project is turning out to be 'a love dig' in more ways than one.
