Serbina Ellen Monroe had high hopes when the Civil War ended.Her husband, Brice,came home from the war wounded, but he'd fully recovered. His gristmill and sawmill were busy. Suddenly, Sibby finds her world shattered. Two horse theives were hung. Brice was accused. He decides to flee Texas Co.
