I think…so many times I have been deterred from my writing by thinking “No" I shouldn't, “people wouldn't like that”, “it would be too upsetting”…but isn't that what great literature is? The kind of thing that raises questions, makes you uncomfortable I’m not saying I’ll ever be a writer of great literature. I’m saying…I need to stop worrying about responses, and just write.
