Inspector Mike Blakely is despatched from Headquarters in Newcastle to investigate a murder in the upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales, not far from the town of Scone. At first the case appears to be a straight forward murder investigation but soon reveals itself to be a great deal more than that, eventually forcing Blakely to fight for his life, in some very dangerous situations.
