This is a story told from the point of view of a young boy that describes growing up with his twin sister, psychic mother, and his neurotic, supersticious father, and an incident they endured with one of their neighbors that the towns people referred to as The Bird Lady. A very old woman that many accused of being a witch. There is also a black cat that plays a prominent role in the family's lives
