“Pamela” by Samuel Richardson is also titled “Virtue Rewarded.” It is an epistolary novel.

The book was first published in 1740. The story revolves around a maid servant named Pamela Andrews. She happens to be fifteen years old at the opening of the novel. Mr. B. happens to be her nobleman master, but he tries to make unwanted advances towards Pamela after the death of his mother.
