When jesus walked this earth he set examples for us to follow. notice that when he spoke something to happen, such as casting out demons or healing someone, he spoke what he wanted and he believed and expected it to happen. mark 11:22-24 makes this very clear to us and that we are to follow jesus' example. satan acts on our negative words and god acts on our positive words.
