Rusted Rails is an historical novel based in the coal-mining community of Wilder, Tennessee in 1928. It is a time of despair, sex, violence and mob controlled abortions and of unexpected heroes. It is the story of a young woman trapped by circumstance and the desperate measures that she has to take and of her ultimate rescue by a newspaper reporter, a local prostitute and the FBI.
