Vinnie is 18 years old, a year out of high school, and still not knowing what he would do with his life. After another argument with his father and another big to-do with his live-in brother-in-law, Vinnie knew what he must do. He went to the nearest enlistment center and enlisted in the Army for duty in Korea. So it was that Vinnie finds himself in Korea in 1950.
