Book 3: Streets Paved with Gold

At her husband’s funeral, Lesedi reflects on the trials and the joys of her marriage to her husband Lazarus. Her musings are interrupted by the woman sitting next to her in the front row in church normally reserved for close family members. The stranger seems to know all about Lesedi while she knows nothing about the woman. A shock is in store for Lesedi when the stranger introduces herself as her husband’s second wife by traditional marriage. The body in the coffin at the front of the church has some explaining to do. But, are the claims of this stranger true, or is this an attempt to grab some of the inheritance due to Lesedi?
