The FBI asked three 'Freemen' to assist them with a vehicle that was stuck in the mud on a desolate Montana ranch in the spring of 1996. When the Freemen attempted to help the agents out, they were arrested and jailed for 51 counts of conspiracy.
Two dozen Freemen remained on the ranch, sparking the longest 'standoff' in American history.
