April May Potts has just moved to a new town. April May has only one friend in her new home town, her scruffy dog, named Scout. April May wants nothing more than to make new friends but finds that the children are very unkind at first to a new girl. In the end, the children discover that being both new and "different" may indeed be a wonderful thing!
