Orphans With Potential

Everyone knows that all the best heroes are orphans. And only the best orphans are sent to Port Manteau, the school for fledgling heroes.

Belle Cooper has recently been orphaned. Probably. At least no one can find her parents since they accidentally slipped into a pan-dimensional vortex. Belle doesn't believe she's a hero, nor an orphan for that matter, but despite her protests she's still carted off to Port Manteau. She has to quickly adjust to strange new classes, even stranger new classmates, and near daily super villain attacks.

But then Belle falls in with the wrong crowd, the kind of kids that skip class to save the world. Soon she's dodging monsters and teachers alike as she explores the trap-filled bowels of the school. It all feels like fun and games until Belle incurs the wrath of a villain that's far more dangerous than she could imagine.

Before the end of the year Belle will find the strength face her fears; beat her bullies; defeat vampires that most definitely do not sparkle; kiss the boy she likes; conquer the villains; slay the demon; save the school and possibly the world; and if she's really lucky, pass her finals.
