Gamji College begins on a staccato rhythm. From the rustic setting of Koloko, Chin Ce's cynical gaze rests on the chaos and drift that permeate the lives of modern college students. It is the same tragedy that we have seen in Children of Koloko of misplaced values and directionlessness bred on the stable of ethnic chauvinism. But important in this work is Ce’s admirable craft in dialogue, the soul of the dramatic. ‘The Bottle,’ for example, is entirely written in a conversational racy interchange of banters that does not degenerate to boredom -a feat of profound significance.
