This book is oriented towards obtaining Class 3 Special Occupational Taxpayer status under a Federal Firearms Dealer’s license (which must be obtained FIRST) – you cannot engage in the firearms business without it!! The standard FFL allows you to operate as a conventional firearms dealer, gunsmith, etc. Class 3/SOT status allows you to deal in NFA (automatic weapons, suppressors, etc.) items.
