The Inner Traveller is about a boy, Ragmar, who is left halfway up the steps of an ageing couple’s house in a recycling bin. He is branded with scars. His adoptive mother sees them as stigmatas. They soon discover that he has certain abilities — transforming and predicting events around him being one of them. Abused for his beauty and alien-like appearance, he evokes both desire and disgust.
