Shortly after the death of his mother, twenty-three-year-old Milo T. Featherstone rides his bicycle from Iowa to San Francisco to confront his mythological father, The Great Tartakovsky. While there his wholesome qualities quickly endear him to a stable of friends who operate in a world infinitely larger and more mysterious than anything he’d ever imagined.
