Gordon, a quiet inoffensive man and an excellent draughtsman has three problems: an overbearing wife, a noisy neighbour’s noisy dog and no appreciation of his talents by his boss. His luck changes when, at an auction of antiques, he successfully bids for an old sea captain’s trunk, in which he finds a strange telescope. It transforms his life, but why does his cat, Cleo, fear the worst?
