Fallen Idols

Fallen Idols is set in Paris in 1943 and features the venerable magician Georges Steil undertaking one final trip to the capital to try to rescue one of his Pagan Resistance comrades, the young and innocent Cecile Guy, who has been captured and taken into custody. A doomed venture from the start, an audacious rescue attempt goes awry with recriminations flying as Georges’ reunion with his oldest surviving friend and fellow mystic turns sour as Georges makes the elementary mistake of coming between a man and his (living) statue.
