Searching For The Heart

An acorn cracks; a dryad is born. She must bond with her soul tree. But the way is long, and his call is faint; he has waited so very long. The dryad has one day to find her mate or she will merge with the earth. Discovery fills her, she wanders aimlessly but as the day passes, she remembers. Panicked, she seeks him, but as the new day approaches, her life will pass. And the hungry earth waits.
