Book One of this trilogy introduces the main characters and tells about their relationships with one another, including details of their most personal thoughts and activities, beyond anything the reader may have ever imagined. The reader also becomes acquainted with the environment where most of the story takes place: La Jolla and the residential hotel where the characters work or live.
