Croesus lives to conquer the subhumans; ogres, dwarves, and especially elves. He seeks approval through such violent conquests. When an old friend hires him to rescue a princess, he takes the offer, eager to prove his worth. But he’s thwarted and captured by a woman who claims she’s divine. Mocking his firm beliefs about subhumans and gender roles, the goddess and her minions manipulate him into committing embarrassingly taboo acts. Their twisted sense of humor leaves him mentally confused as he’s torn between reality and how he thinks reality works. He fears their imprint on his sense of self may be permanent by the time anybody can rescue him. All he can do is pray for guidance. Will his deity answer him or will his captors change him for good?
