A fictional telling of the writing of the Gospel of Luke, told through the eyes of a young Romanized Jewish man he hires to be a research assistant and secretary. In Jerusalem, Judea, and Galilee, they search for witnesses and documents, opposed by both corrupt Roman officials and the Jewish establishment.
