'Ten Tales from the Valley' is a collection of short stories about life in the South Wales coalfields during the difficult years between 1920 and 1940.
Based on the author's personal experiences they tell how the inhabitants of the fictional village of Brynhyfryd coped with the non-fictional harsh economic climate of the depression and the antagonism of the coal-owners.
