Three, Four, Ship to Shore is Branson’s maiden cruise with her grandparents, who pick up the tab for a vacation. Onboard a royal family from Turrengal awaits a mid-cruise island wedding of their son to an American girl. Not all the family is eager for the wedding to take place: the new bride is not from their country, is not a royal and is not submitting to pressures from other members of the royal family to cancel the wedding. The morning of the lifeboat drill the royal family’s cabin is burgled and Branson suspects she witnessed the thief, Ellen, leaving the area dressed as a crew member. She has befriended the groom’s younger sister and volunteers her information to the family and ship’s captain. Her search for Ellen, who seems to have disappeared, is cut short when Branson is threatened by a shadowy lady on the ship and her grandfather refuses to let her look anymore. Very soon, however, the robbery takes a back seat to the disappearance of the groom the day of the wedding. Events take place that eventually reveal who Ellen is, why the shadowy lady is after Branson and who the kidnappers were.
