This esoteric autobiography is the story of my first forty years of life. I wrote it to help me make sense of my life, and in doing so it has enabled me to see how I have got to where I am today more clearly. In addition to my journey through loneliness to happiness, working my way from a broken home in a Scottish council estate to qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in a global firm and beyond, I show my ups and downs and how I kept picking myself back up. Along the way I reveal how I have at several times in my life achieved things that were perhaps unlikely at the time. By the time that I reached forty I knew that there was something more to life, something that I wasn’t quite getting, and that year was a significant turning point for me, from which I have in subsequent years been able to answer the eternal questions.
