A famous, yet jaded, English correspondent, Peter Wolf, lands in Hong Kong to research an article. When the news story falls through, he heads to Guangzhou and eats a slimy bowl of Dragon Tiger Phoenix Soup. One ingredient, a palm civet, infects Wolf with a dangerous virus. Wolf returns to Hong Kong feeling ill and he is in for the fight of his life.
