Amrita is beautiful and restless. The long hot days of summer make her irritable and everywhere she turns the half robed gardener is there with his winsome smile. But she cannot have him for she is promised in marriage.

Sheshdar thinks Amrita is the most lovely blossom in all the gardens and he would do anything for her. When he saves a cobra little does he realize that it is a god who grants him a boon.

Sheshdar doesn't want riches or fame; he wants only Amrita. And Amrita, melting from the heating and frustration does not know how long she can resist Sheshdar's advances, especially when a god is involved.
