Ren’s world is changing, her Haida grandfather is dying. As she finishes her last year at UBC she meets Zeff, a musician in a British rock band. Drawn to him by a shared interest in art and music, she explores their intense mutual attraction. Interwoven in their lives are encounters with B.C. timber, friends, enemies, Haida beliefs, and the god of the ocean, the Orca.
