The village of Leamington Priors in 18th century England is being terrorized by a highwayman known as the Shadow. After his mistress is killed, servant Bailey ends up in the hands of Lord Charles, the man his lady was to marry. Lord Charles takes Bailey under his wing, and teaches him not only the art of blacksmithing, but the art of love. As the Shadow rides out, Bailey's loyalty will be tested.
