When nineteen-year-old NINA BATES turns out pregnant she is shunned by boyfriend Kyle Murphy and her own mother, Lauren Bates. NINA then leaves her hometown of Seattle, Washington and heads north to Anchorage, Alaska to move in with her grandmother Cassandra Livingston, where she hopes to start a new life with her unborn child.
In desperate need of a live-in Nanny for his five-year-old son Ian, DEXTER MCIVER offers the job to Cassie’s granddaughter NINA in spite of the fact that the young woman is with child. Cassie is a well respected colleague and he’s willing to help the situation in any which way he can.
