My New Friend

It's hard for Maria to do some things her peers can do, she has autism. Catching a ball is difficult for her, but what's even more difficult is how she's looked at by other people. Relying on her imaginary friends, and the love of her parents to help her feel accepted, Maria's world takes a different turn when she meets Tara. Tara would rather hide than have to talk to that "weird" girl who lives down the street. Torn between her own feelings of guilt and the pressure from her friends, Tara gets more than she bargained for the day she goes to the park to hunt for treasure.
