Jason Hayward wakes in the hospital, greeted by a mysterious doctor. Claiming to be from the planet Ezdar, he has come to retrieve an alien organism called "The Key," a link to his planet that had been surgically attached to Jason's heart some years before. Now they are in a race against time and a warring alien species to protect The Key and to keep Jason Hayward, the Heart of Ezdar, alive.
