Nathan and Jeannie are in their early 30s and are coming undone. Nathan doesn't want to be a salesman, but he gets good. Jeannie doesn't want to be married to a salesman, so she takes the kids and leaves. His sudden freedom jacks Nathan to the moon (he falls). Both find that a lifestyle is not real life. I wrote this back when I was a freaked dad and angsty cube jockey. Writing it stopped it all.
