After electing the first African-American President of the United States, and after significant progress in the election of African-American leaders as mayors and state governors, why haven't our communities felt the benefits? Instead, the African-American community endures the highest prison incarceration, high school drop-out rates, unemployment, and healthcare disparities since the 1970's.
