Sudden Death of a Star (NaNoWriMo 2011) DRAFT

The crew of a small research ship are witnessing the premature death of a small star, similar in size to Sol. They watch as several ships attempt to escape one of the planets in orbit of that star. Most of the creatures are killed by their inadequate space craft until one better built manages to escape their home world safely.
