In the months since September 11, 2001, Angel has done well. She has a house in an idyllic neighborhood. She has a Marine boyfriend, a devoted girlfriend, and a great, protective dog, but Angel's America staggers under the burden of so many criminals that her Lakewood has to be ingenious to fix America's problems, of making lemons into lemonade.
