Don't Open 'til Christmas: a short story

Laura Sanderson is a bit of a fanatic when it comes to certain things. Okay, okay, She's a lot of a fanatic about most everything. She lives her life by a system that she devised; an airtight system that can't be penetrated. It's Christmas and Laura is alone, but she has a plan for how she intends to spend Christmas. Now she just has to find a flaw in her strategically designed system so she can insure that her plan's come to fruition.

It is a domino effect that threatens her perfect plans. A course of incidences that all stack up against her: an unopened gift from her Aunt Beatrice, a cowardice cat named Rufus, an intruder, and a sexy deputy, make for an evening of unplanned craziness that sends Laura in a frenzy of chaos.

Will her plans all pull together? Will her Christmas be a merry one?
