Earth Star: A Monograph on the 1977 Vision of Battlestar Galactica

From the lawsuit by 20th Century Fox in 1978 to the premature cancellation of Caprica in 2010, the Battlestar Galactica franchise has always been dogged by controversy. Throughout its history, it has undergone a number of revisions and updates in books, comics, video games and television. But the first incarnation, seen early in the first show's development, is rarely detailed. Rather than an ongoing television series, the 1977 vision focused on three telemovies. Using relevant artefacts from the show's production, including scripts and storyboards, this monograph uncovers the hidden universe of Battlestar Galactica 1977.
