The Adventures of Junior and Spike the Wonder Dog. Book Eleven: Quading

Spike plays tug-of-war with Junior's pants. The family rides, a quad called Black Death with a 200 horse power motor hanging a wheelie out of the driveway. In a wash they see an owl, javelina and a horse. Spike gets into a cattle pond where he is surrounded by Colorado River toads. Junior catches a catfish. That night Dad tells the story about a boy and his dog that like hiking in the desert.
