"She looked over to see the Alpha in his wolf form standing by one of the trees, off to her left. The warrior moved forward a couple of steps, looking protective, but froze when the wolf snarled loudly. His white teeth flashed in warning. "It's okay." she said quietly. Even she wasn't sure if she spoke to the huge hulking figure of the warrior, who stood directly in front of her, or the massive wolf standing a few feet away.
The arched a brow, asking, "You would attack me for trying to protect her, wolf?"
The growls remained constant. The warrior smirked. And then he turned his gaze to her, giving her a slow once-over with his eyes, acknowledging her nakedness for the first time. "Don't worry", he called out as he turned away, "we will meet again, little star. Soon." And she knew by his little endearment that he had noticed the stars by her eye. She wondered what else he had noticed. But there, right in front of her eyes, he shifted into a large black panther and loped away."
