Environmentalist Jeffrey Marx, a member of the Watershed Commission, is discovered to be wearing a wire when he collapses and dies from an all-natural poison. Marx's death and tapes lead to both a murder and corruption investigation. Det. Arnold tries to solve both mysteries at once, and determine if they two are related, while moving in with his beautiful girlfriend, attorney Melinda Devereaux.
