The Balancing

A test pilot is transported through a portal to a world locked in endless war. One half of the planet is perpetually locked in darkness and the other in light. Those living on the light side desperately need the water on the dark side. Those living on the dark side need sunlight to grow new crops. They have been at war for 200 years over these resources. Can a test pilot from earth bring balance?
