Land of my Ancestors

Land of my Ancestors is a collection of poems inspired by the author's research into her farming and mining roots in Teesdale, Weardale and the Upper Pennine region of England. Voices found in documents, the landscape and scraps of memory are brought to life to weave together the threads of a family linked by love, loss, pain, hope and travel. They are evoked to honour the author's heritage and continue the family tradition of reading, writing and reciting poetry.
