Kansas 1865
He walks out of the battle a hero but the war isn’t over for Jubal Peace.
A vengeful party by the name of Cleveland Metz runs things in Atchison and despite the surrender he still thinks the South and all its supporters should be made cruel example of.
When Jubal’s little sister starts a romance with a wounded Confederate veteran, things start to get a sight more violent. Add to that his elder sister’s bigamous jayhawker of a husband, a cool older gunslinger and a sultry saloon keeper of exceptional beauty and Jubal is about to enter a world of woe that keeps his gun blazing long after peace has been declared.
