a young woman visits a detective to ask him to investigate the disappearance of her father and brother who went out to canada to look for gold but she had not heard from them since they left england. the detective and the young woman go to canada to look for the missing men, and they soon run into trouble. they find that the detective has to fight off villians. in their quest love creeps in.
